Grant County, WA Parking Rules: Overnight Parking (2026)

Grant County Code Chapter 11.32 designates specific unincorporated roadways where parking, standing and stopping are banned. Section 11.32.010(8) singles out Grandview North (west of SR 17, running from across SR 17 at Randolph Road to culs-de-sac north and south of the road's centerline) and Grandview South (a short road with two culs-de-sac three-quarters of a mile south of Grandview North, between SR 17 and Moses Lake) as an overnight no-parking area, effective only between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Section 11.32.020 makes it unlawful for any driver to stop, park, or leave a vehicle standing, attended or unattended, on the roadway or within the right-of-way of any designated no-parking area during the restricted hours.

Section 11.32.030 creates a prima facie presumption that the registered owner of record is liable for a parked vehicle found in violation, and for towing and storage costs, unless the owner has filed a report of sale under RCW 46.12.101(1). Section 11.32.040 allows a defense if the vehicle was disabled and its removal was promptly arranged. Violations are classified as traffic infractions under Section 11.32.060, with hearings held in Grant County district court per Chapter 7.08 RCW under Section 11.32.070. The Grant County Sheriff's Office, its deputies, or Washington State Patrol troopers may authorize impoundment of an overnight violator's vehicle under Section 11.32.090, and the vehicle is not released until towing and impound costs are paid.
