070 of the Sparks Municipal Code makes it unlawful to park a vehicle or non-commercial trailer on a street, highway, or alley for longer than 48 hours, or longer than a posted traffic control device allows. On a public parking lot, the limit drops to 24 hours under subsection B. These are flat time limits, not overnight-only restrictions, so the clock runs continuously whether the vehicle moves within the block or not. 250 separately bars using any vehicle for 'human habitation' (sleeping, cooking, storing bedding) on a public street or right-of-way for more than 48 hours, and specifically prohibits moving the vehicle less than two miles just to reset that clock; violating it is a criminal misdemeanor, though recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds are exempt.

170: if a vehicle is found violating a standing or parking provision, proof of registration to the defendant is treated as proof the defendant parked it. 380, and the owner must pay impound, towing, and storage fees before the vehicle is released, or the city may sell it under state law.
