Chapter 473 defines a "trailer and camp vehicle" broadly to include any vehicle built or altered so it can be occupied as a temporary dwelling or sleeping place, whether self-propelled or towed, and a "boat trailer" as any vehicle used to carry a boat on the public streets. Section 473-2 bars parking or placing any trailer, camp vehicle, or boat trailer on a street or highway, or on any land in the Township, except in accordance with Township regulations, and sets a hard three-week ceiling on how long one may remain parked in any location.

The code carves out two specific exceptions to that three-week clock: a trailer or camp vehicle undergoing repairs or service at a public garage or repair shop is not subject to the time limit, and neither is one that is stored, unoccupied, on private property. Beyond the time limit, § 473-3 separately forbids using any trailer, camp vehicle, or boat trailer as a dwelling or sleeping place at any time, whether it is parked on a public street, undergoing repair at a shop, or stored on private property, closing off the workaround of simply parking it and living in it indefinitely under the repair or storage exceptions.
