Lorain County has no countywide RV rule; parking is set by each city or township. In Lorain, the largest city, Zoning Code Sec. 1141.25 lets recreational vehicles be stored outside on a residential lot only if kept out of the front yard, with a 48-hour driveway grace period within any seven days for cleaning or maintenance. Year-round storage is allowed in a non-required side or rear yard on a hard-surfaced pad (4-inch concrete, asphalt, or compacted limestone) screened from neighbors. Elyria regulates RV parking separately under its Sec. 1137.13.
Enforced by Lorain zoning as a code violation; owners receive notice to relocate or screen the vehicle, with civil penalties for continued noncompliance.
