Philadelphia Code 12-919 bars parking a boat, motor home, truck camper or vending cart for more than fifteen days in any on-street space on a single block, and limits such vehicles to three hours (or the posted limit) in the 1st, 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th Councilmanic Districts.
Section 12-919 of The Philadelphia Code (On-Street Parking of Boats, Motor Homes, Truck Campers, Vending Carts and Other Large Vehicles) sets a citywide cap: no person may park a boat, motor home, truck camper or vending cart for more than fifteen (15) days in any on-street parking space located on a single block of any street or highway, and any such vehicle parked in an on-street space must be on wheels and readily movable. In the First, Sixth, Seventh, Ninth and Tenth Councilmanic Districts the rule is far stricter: no person shall park a boat, motor home, house coach, house trailer, truck camper, recreational cargo trailer or recreational trailer on any public street or City property for longer than three (3) hours or the posted legal parking limit, whichever is less. A parked mobile home is separately ticketable under Code 12-1124(1).
Parked Mobile Home (12-1124(1)) carries a $51 fine; vehicles exceeding the 15-day or 3-hour limits under 12-919 are subject to citation, immobilization and towing by the PPA.
