In Port St. Lucie, RVs, boats, and boat trailers may not sit in a residential area unless stored in a garage, on a paved driveway, or beside or behind the home with a ten-foot rear setback. Unincorporated St. Lucie County requires front-yard RVs and boats on a paved pad.
Port St. Lucie's Recreational Vehicles code, Section 73.04(b), bars parking or storing a recreational vehicle in any residential area unless it is inside an enclosed garage or structure, on a paved driveway, or to the side or rear of the principal structure with the ten-foot rear setback maintained. Section 73.01 defines a recreational vehicle to include a boat and boat trailer. In unincorporated St. Lucie County, code compliance allows up to two recreational vehicles on parcels under one acre, and any boat, trailer, or RV in the front must sit on a paved (concrete) pad, with only one such vehicle in the front area. HOA covenants are often stricter.
Enforced by code compliance after written notice; unresolved violations bring citations and escalating fines, and the vehicle must be moved to a compliant location or enclosed.
