Bartow County, GA Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Section 70-3, adopted by Ordinance No. 93-2 on February 10, 1993, makes it unlawful in unincorporated Bartow County to leave unattended any motor vehicle, tractor, trailer, semitrailer, pole trailer, or other motorized or nonmotorized vehicle on the right-of-way of a county road, with a narrow exception for a temporary stop during an emergency. §§ 40-6-1 through 40-6-395 for traffic regulation across the unincorporated county. A related rule in the same chapter, § 70-41, separately bars motor trucks over 26,000 pounds and heavy motor-drawn trailers from traversing 28 specifically listed county roads, such as Alford Road, Cass-White Road and Stamp Creek Road, unless making a local delivery or pickup, and requires those roads to be posted with weight-limit warning signs.

Section 70-42 additionally requires every vehicle on county streets to be loaded and covered so nothing drops, escapes or shifts in a way that creates a hazard or litters the roadway. Because § 70-3 does not name its own penalty, a violation defaults to the Code's general penalty provision.
