Because Bostonia is unincorporated, street parking is governed by the San Diego County Code, not a city code. Section 72.122 states no person shall park a vehicle 'upon any street or alley for more than a consecutive period of 72 hours,' and a vehicle counts as parked the full 72 hours 'if it has not been moved at least five tenths (.5) of a mile from its original parked (stopped) location within the preceding 72 hour period.' Enforcement is by the San Diego County Sheriff, who may remove the vehicle under Vehicle Code sections 22651 and 22652.
