Garfield requires a resident or visitor parking permit to park on city streets overnight, with size and registration limits set by the Resident Parking Program.
Under Article VI of Chapter 226, the Chief of Police issues resident parking permits to Garfield residents who own a motor vehicle with no more than four wheels touching the ground, not exceeding 22 feet in length and 7 feet in width. Permits are required for any vehicle parked on a city street during the overnight restricted period. Visitors may purchase overnight visitor permits through ppprk.com using Zone 86200 at $5 per day, capped at 25 purchases per calendar year. Permits must match the design specified by the Chief of Police.
Vehicles parked overnight without a valid resident or visitor permit are subject to fines under the overnight parking article and may be ticketed each night.
