Queen Creek, AZ Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Town Code Section 9-7-5, Stopping, Standing, or Parking Prohibited, lists specific locations where a conveyance cannot stop, stand, or park on public or private property, including within fifteen feet of a fire hydrant, in a designated fire lane, in a marked school crossing zone, in front of or within a public or private driveway or alley entrance, in an ADA-access route, in a pedestrian crosswalk, in a designated turn or bicycle lane, in the traveled portion of a roadway including an intersection, or in a roadway median.

The section exempts stops necessary to avoid a traffic conflict or made in compliance with an Authorized Enforcement Agent's direction or a traffic control device. Section 9-7-9, Parking Near Curbs, separately requires that except where otherwise posted, a vehicle stopping or parking on a roadway with adjacent curbs must position its right-hand wheels parallel to and within eighteen inches of the right-hand curb, which effectively bars parking against the flow of traffic on the wrong side of the street. Both sections were amended by Ordinance 823-23 on November 1, 2023.

Enforcement runs through the Queen Creek Police Department and other Authorized Enforcement Agents under Section 9-1-1, and each is punished as a Civil Offense under the townwide schedule in Section 9-21-2(C): $250 for a first offense, $500 for a second within 12 months, and $2,000 for a third within that period.
