Rose Hill, NC Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

15 of the Rose Hill Code lists the places where stopping, standing, or parking a vehicle is flatly prohibited, signs or no signs: on a sidewalk, in front of a public or private driveway, within an intersection or a crosswalk, within ten feet of a fire hydrant, within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, within 30 feet of a stop sign or flashing beacon, within 50 feet of a railroad crossing, within 20 feet of a fire station driveway (or 75 feet across the street when posted), alongside a street excavation that would block traffic, on the roadway side of an already-parked vehicle, on a bridge or in a tunnel, and anywhere official signs prohibit stopping.

01 requires every parked vehicle to sit parallel to the curb, headed in the direction of lawful traffic, with its right-hand wheels within 18 inches of the curb or edge of the roadway, which is the town's rule against parking against the flow of traffic. 20 bars standing or parking on the left side of a one-way roadway unless signs permit it. 22: an officer attaches a notice to the vehicle giving the owner 48 hours to report to the Police Department and pay, or a warrant issues and the case goes to court.

22(B)(3) to double parking, blocking a driveway, intersection, or sidewalk, and stopping in a loading zone, bus zone, or traffic lane. Money collected goes into the town's General Fund.
