05(G) makes it unlawful to keep more than a combination of four total dogs and/or cats per residence anywhere in Rose Hill. The rule counts dogs and cats together, not separately, so a household could have two dogs and two cats, one dog and three cats, or any other mix that adds to four, but not five of either or a mix. The section includes a grandfather clause: owners who already had more than four animals when the ordinance took effect are allowed to keep them, provided they meet every other requirement in Chapter 90, registration, tags, and rabies vaccination among them, but once an animal above the four-animal baseline leaves the household by death or other means, it cannot be replaced.

That makes the limit a one-way ratchet back down to four for any grandfathered household. 05(Q). § 14-4, with the Animal Control Supervisor also able to issue a civil citation carrying a minimum $75 penalty.
