05(C) requires every owner of a dog or cat within Rose Hill's corporate limits to register the animal at Town Hall and pay a one-time $10 registration fee, with a new cat required to be registered within 30 days of acquisition. Registration comes with a numbered tag recording the tag number, the animal's name and description, and the owner's name and address, and the code requires every animal to be photographed for the Town Hall's identification file. 05(D): they are excused from wearing the identification and vaccination tags dogs must wear on a collar.

05(D) sets the rabies standard: a cat's vaccination is current if given within the preceding 12 months (dogs instead need two vaccinations a year apart, then boosters every three years), and owners must produce proof of vaccination on request from the Animal Control Officer. 05(E) requires the owner to confine it immediately and notify both a veterinarian and the Animal Control Officer, with the diagnosis and treatment at the owner's expense. 05(P). 05(L).
