§ 660.05 DUTY TO KEEP SIDEWALKS IN REPAIR AND CLEAN. ... (2) Whenever the sidewalk or any part thereof, adjoining any building, lot or street becomes encumbered with ice, no owner, occupant or any person having care or control of such building or lot, shall fail to cause such sidewalk to be made safe and convenient by removing the ice therefrom, or by covering the same with sand or some other suitable substance within the space of two hours during the day time. ...
