Broken Arrow, OK Public Conduct: Outdoor Smoking Restrictions (2026)

Broken Arrow Code § 3-90 implements the state Smoking in Public Places and Indoor Workplaces Act and prohibits lighted tobacco in indoor places open to the public, public transportation, and indoor workplaces. Outdoor areas generally fall outside this ban, § 3-90(b)(11) specifically exempts any outdoor seating area of a restaurant, but conditions that exemption on staying at least 15 feet from any exterior public doorway or air intake of the restaurant. There is no separate citywide ban on smoking in parks, sidewalks, or other open-air public spaces; the 15-foot doorway/air-intake buffer is the only outdoor-specific smoking restriction in the code.
