Full Breakdown

Village of Little Chute Code § 30-99(a)(1) makes it unlawful to consume or possess an open container of alcoholic beverage on any public street, sidewalk, public way, alley or parking lot within the village, unless the location is licensed premises. The same subsection separately bars selling, serving or giving away alcohol in those public areas, or on private property without the owner's consent. Village-maintained parks have a narrower carve-out: consumption there requires a same-day police-issued permit under section 30-99(b).

Violations & Fines

A forfeiture citation under the village's general penalty section 1-12 for possessing or drinking from an open container in a public place outside licensed premises.
