SECTION 616.118 MUNICIPAL CODE. $25 FINE." in letters not less than two inches high.

Jacksonville's Ordinance Code doesn't ban skateboarding citywide, but Sec. 616.118 lets any business, commercial or industrial property owner, manager or lessee prohibit it by posting a sign at least 2 inches tall reading "NO SKATEBOARDING ALLOWED. SECTION 616.118 MUNICIPAL CODE. $25 FINE." Once that sign is up, skateboarding on the property is unlawful, and parents or guardians who let a minor skateboard there in violation are also on the hook. Separately, Sec. 616.113 bars skateboards (and bikes, roller skates) on public and handicapped-access ramps citywide, and Sec. 804.307 requires anyone 17 or under to wear a certified helmet while skateboarding.
