Renter and guest vehicles are not allowed to park on the street, in any zoning district where short-term rentals are permitted.
(a) The following provisions in this subsection apply in all zones where short-term rental uses are allowed. The owner of any unit used for a short-term rental use shall provide enough driveway parking spaces on the parcel containing such unit so that all vehicles belonging to the short-term renters are parked on site. Such vehicles may not park on the street.

Full Breakdown
G(2)(a), part of the short-term rental use standards added December 6, 2022 by Local Law No. 11-2022, applies in every zone where short-term rental uses are allowed. It places the parking burden squarely on the owner: the unit must have enough driveway parking spaces on its own parcel for all vehicles belonging to the short-term renters, and those vehicles may not be parked on the street instead. G(1)(c)[14], which requires compliant off-street parking per Section 190-16 and this section before a permit issues in the first place, and on Section 190-16, the City's general off-street parking and loading standard for all uses.
Because the requirement is written as enough spaces for all vehicles belonging to the short-term renters, rather than a fixed number, an owner renting to a larger group or advertising multiple bedrooms needs proportionally more on-site parking capacity to stay compliant. The rule is enforceable both as an operating-permit condition, so an owner who cannot provide enough on-site parking risks permit denial, suspension or revocation, and as a stand-alone zoning violation if renters are found parking on the street after the permit issues.
Violations & Fines
A short-term rental that cannot provide enough on-site parking for its renters' vehicles is out of compliance with Section 190-26.3.G(2)(a) and Section 190-26.3.G(1)(c)[14], risking denial, suspension or revocation of the operating permit. As with any zoning chapter violation, Section 190-39 also authorizes a fine of up to $250 and up to 15 days in jail, with each week of continued violation a separate offense.
