Euless, TX Short-Term Rentals: Permit Requirements (2026)

Unlike neighboring cities such as Fort Worth and Arlington, Euless has not adopted a city-specific short-term rental registration ordinance as of the current code. However, STRs operating in Euless must still comply with Texas Tax Code Chapter 156 (state 6 percent hotel occupancy tax) and Chapter 351 (city hotel occupancy tax, which Euless levies at 7 percent). Rentals under 30 consecutive days qualify as hotel stays and require tax collection and remittance. Euless Code Chapter 82 (Zoning) does not explicitly prohibit STRs in residential districts, but accessory dwelling uses cannot exceed residential character. Properties must maintain compliance with occupancy, parking, trash, and noise standards. Texas Local Government Code 214.214 does not preempt reasonable STR regulation, and the Texas Supreme Court decision in Tarr v.
