Full Breakdown

Under Hillsboro Community Development Code § 12.80.126.J-K, the City Council can revoke a partial-dwelling STR's business license at any time for cause, including any Code violation, breach of a permit condition, or failure to pay the required business license fee, following the revocation procedure in Municipal Code Subchapter 5.04. Once revoked for a violation, the owner must wait a minimum of 60 days before submitting another partial-dwelling STR application for that same property. This applies to owner-occupied 'partial-dwelling' rentals; full-dwelling STRs are licensed under a separate section, § 12.80.040.

Violations & Fines

Any Code violation, broken permit condition, or unpaid business license fee can trigger revocation by the City Council; a revoked operator faces a mandatory 60-day wait before reapplying.
