030(O)(4) treats garage sale signs as an accessory to the temporary garage sale use defined in the rest of the subsection, and it caps both the count and the size: a maximum of three signs, none larger than two square feet in area. A sign can be posted somewhere other than the sale property, for example a nearby corner or a neighbor's yard, but only with that property owner's written permission, and no sign of any kind may be placed in the public right-of-way, which covers parkways, medians and the shoulders of public streets.

The timing rules track the sale itself: signs are limited to display during daylight hours only, so they cannot be left up overnight even if the sale runs the full three consecutive days the code allows, and every sign must come down at the termination of the sale rather than lingering afterward. Because garage sales are capped at once every six months on the same premises, the signage window is just as narrow as the sale itself, typically a matter of days rather than a recurring seasonal fixture.

The rule sits inside the residential conditions of permitted uses chapter rather than the citywide sign code, so it applies specifically to the temporary garage-sale event and does not authorize the same signs to be reused for other announcements or advertising.
