North Miami, FL Sign Regulations: Garage Sale Signs (2026)

North Miami regulates garage sale signs through its sign ordinance in the Code of Ordinances. Temporary signs advertising garage or yard sales are generally permitted on the residential property where the sale is taking place, subject to size limitations and placement requirements. Signs must not obstruct pedestrian or vehicular traffic visibility, particularly at intersections where sight triangle requirements apply. Placement of garage sale signs on public property, rights-of-way, utility poles, street signs, traffic control devices, or other public infrastructure is prohibited. The city may remove signs placed in the right-of-way without notice. Signs must be removed within 24 hours after the sale concludes.
