Ashwaubenon, WI Soliciting & Door-to-Door: No-Knock Registry (2026)

Section 6-2-151 lists the operating rules every solicitor must follow once a permit is issued. Subsection (C), Soliciting Contrary to Sign, tells solicitors they may not call at a place displaying a sign reading "No Soliciting," "No Peddlers," or words of similar meaning, giving residents a self-enforcing way to opt out door by door. , closing the evening and overnight hours to unscheduled calls unless the resident has set an appointment. The same section layers on further protections: subsection (E) bars solicitation in the streets altogether, and subsection (G) adds an Ashwaubenon-specific rule found nowhere else in the region, prohibiting any permit holder from soliciting on the day of a Green Bay Packer game or any Lambeau Field event, reflecting the Village's location next to the stadium district.

Subsection (D) separately requires solicitors to comply with the door-to-door sales protections of Wis. Stat. Ch. 423, and subsections (A) and (B) require solicitors to identify themselves and their affiliation up front and to carry both the Village permit and government photo identification while working. These rules apply on top of, not instead of, the permit requirement in Section 6-2-143, so an unpermitted solicitor who also ignores a posted sign or the curfew compounds the violation.
