Under Code Art. 6.04, it is unlawful for any peddler or solicitor to enter property displaying a posted 'No Solicitation,' 'No Peddlers,' 'No Trespassing,' or similar sign of at least 3 by 4 inches near the main entrance; Cedar Park enforces sign-based opt-out rather than a citywide no-knock registry.
Article 6.04 of the Cedar Park Code provides that 'it shall be unlawful for any peddler or solicitor to go upon any private property if there is placed on such property in a conspicuous place upon or near the main entrance to the residence, a sign or card, not less than three (3) inches by four (4) inches in size, bearing the words 'no trespassing,' 'no peddlers,' 'no advertisements,' 'no solicitation,' 'no handbills,' or any similar notice.' Unlike some Texas cities, Cedar Park does not maintain a centralized 'do-not-knock' registry; residents enforce their opt-out by posting the sign. Violators may have their permit revoked and face criminal charges. Soliciting hours are independently limited to between sunrise/7 a.m. and sunset/8 p.m.
Approaching a residence in defiance of a posted sign is a separate Class C misdemeanor under Art. 6.04 carrying a fine up to $500 under Code §1.01.009 and may result in permit revocation by the Director of Development Services.
