Parker, CO Soliciting & Door-to-Door: No-Knock Registry (2026)

The Parker Solicitors' Ordinance, Chapter 5.05, gives residents two ways to stop unwanted door knocking. First, § 5.05.040 makes it unlawful for any solicitor, commercial or noncommercial, including religious, charitable, political and newspaper or magazine subscription solicitors, to enter or remain on a property once a 'No Solicitation,' 'No Trespassing' or similarly worded sign is posted at or near the entrance. Second, § 5.05.050 lets any owner or lawful occupant register their address on the Town's 'Do Not Solicit' list by filing a form with the Town Clerk in person, by mail or online; registration takes effect thirty calendar days after the Town receives it and stays in effect until the owner cancels it or moves.

The Town Clerk must maintain and publish the list on the Town website, and every permit holder is responsible for checking it before sending solicitors out; once a property is on the list, door-to-door commercial solicitation there is prohibited outright under § 5.05.050(c). The Town and its employees are not liable for errors in compiling or maintaining the list under § 5.05.050(e). These two tools only reach door-to-door commercial and noncommercial solicitation as defined in § 5.05.030; canvassers distributing noncommercial flyers or campaigning for a candidate or ballot issue are also bound by the posted-sign rule in § 5.05.040 even though they are not required to register for a permit.
