No processions, parades, demonstrations or rallies excepting the forces of the United States Armed Services, the military forces of this state and the forces of the police and fire departments, acting within the scope of their official duties, shall occupy, march or proceed along any street or roadway except in accordance with a permit issued by the chief of police and such other regulations as set forth herein which may apply.
(1)Any permit issued under this section shall only be valid for the times and dates specified thereon. In no case shall the duration of any such permit issued be longer than three consecutive days.(2)This section may not apply to any branch of the United States Armed Forces, the military forces of this state, or the forces of any local police or fire agency while acting within the scope of their official duties.
