310, "Group use – Rules and regulations – Picnic shelters," requires prior City authorization to use a group picnic shelter or other public area designated for 25 or more people; those areas are marked by posted signs. Groups must complete a park reservation request form, submit a refundable cleaning and security deposit, and pay the required fee(s) at the time of request, with reservations due at least two days before the event date. After the event, a park ranger inspects the site: a clean, undamaged area gets the deposit back, while cleaning costs beyond the deposit are billed to the group with interest if unpaid within 30 days.
