" Section 137-29(A) lists the same activity, item (7), among eleven categories that "require special permits," alongside group golf outings, use of the West Albany, Crossings of Colonie and Town Park pavilions, ball field use, camping, bringing a keg into a designated picnic area, ice hockey at Town rinks, model-vehicle operation, and consumption of alcohol at pocket park sites. Section 137-29(B) requires that "all special permits provided for herein must be obtained from the Parks and Recreation Department," a single administrative point of contact rather than separate boards for each activity type.

The general permit rules in § 137-6 apply on top of the event-specific list: a permit only authorizes what it strictly allows (§ 137-6(A)), the fee follows "the scale of fees adopted from time to time by the Town Board" (§ 137-6(B)), and for group or team events the permit is issued to a "responsible official or representative" who is personally accountable for the group's conduct and for leaving the park as clean as it was found (§ 137-6(C)). Noncompliance with any permit condition is grounds for the Parks and Recreation Department to revoke the permit outright under § 137-6(D), on top of the fine, jail and privilege-revocation exposure that applies to every Chapter 137 offense under § 137-31.
