080, 'Park Reservations,' governs booking of Florissant's park facilities, areas and equipment for recreational activities. Reservations for the coming year cannot be made until after the first workday of that year. Facilities are otherwise used on a first-come, first-served basis by City of Florissant residents, but an actual reservation must come as written authorization issued by the Director, subject to whatever restrictions the authorization spells out, and it applies only to the specific activity, facility, area or equipment and the date and time named on it.

A reservation is not valid until the Department has received payment of any specified fee; nothing is considered held until the fee clears and a written authorization is issued. Only people eighteen years of age or older may reserve a park facility, area or equipment, and requests must come in at least one week before the requested reservation time unless the Director authorizes an exception. The person who signs the reservation contract is accountable for the condition of the facility, equipment or area at the end of the event and for the conduct of their party, and must sign any closing paperwork.

The Director may cancel a reservation already granted if using the facility would endanger public safety or property because of its physical condition or adverse weather, or if the City itself needs the space; a person may likewise cancel subject to any terms imposed at booking, which can include a reasonable administrative fee. Fees are refunded if the Director is the one who cancels. Occupying a reserved area without authorization is separately prohibited, and facility deposits may be withheld for violating the reservation's contract provisions. 080.
