Full Breakdown

Under City Code Sec. 32-3, anyone renting a Texarkana park facility or piece of parks-and-recreation equipment must have a signed user or rental agreement prepared by the parks and recreation director or a designee: the director or designee also signs off on the deal, not the renter alone. Sec. 32-4 requires the department to keep a public fee schedule filed with the city secretary, so reservation costs aren't negotiated case by case. Once a facility is rented, Sec. 32-6 lets city staff enter it to confirm the group is following the agreement and the chapter's park rules, and can order noncompliant users out.

Violations & Fines

Renting without a signed agreement or fee payment is grounds for the parks and recreation director to deny access, and staff can enter the facility and expel noncompliant users under Sec. 32-6.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a permit to reserve a Texarkana park pavilion?
Yes. Sec. 32-3 requires a signed rental or user agreement with the parks and recreation department before you can reserve a park facility or piece of equipment.
How much does it cost to rent a park facility in Texarkana?
Costs follow the department's fee schedule required by Sec. 32-4, which is filed with the city secretary rather than negotiated per reservation.
