Full Breakdown
Under AMC Chapter 10.45, the municipal clerk's office issues a Recreation and Amusement Activities license for carnivals, circuses, fairs, public concerts, and other amusements; the fee set in Regulation R10.45.001 is $50.00 per license. Separately, AMC Chapter 10.60 licenses vendors: the fee under Regulation R10.60.001 is $150.00. A street fair or festival organizer needs the recreation/amusement license for the event itself, and each vendor selling food, merchandise, or services at the fair needs its own vendor license before setting up a booth.
Violations & Fines
Operating an unlicensed fair, carnival, or amusement event, or vending at one without the required license, violates AMC Title 10 licensing rules and can draw citations, fines, and denial of future permits from the municipal clerk's office.
