Swimming pools, spas, and any body of water having a depth of more than 18 inches and related equipment shall comply with the following standards, in addition to all applicable requirements of the Building Code.
A. Water-Containing Portions of Swimming Pools and Spas.The outside wall of the water-containing portion of any swimming pool or spa shall be located as follows:
1. Front Setback.The outside wall of the water-containing portion of any swimming pool or spa shall not encroach into the front setback area unless approved by the Director due to special lot conditions.
2. Street Side Setback.The outside wall of the water-containing portion of any swimming pool or spa shall be located a minimum of 10 feet from the street side property line. Where the lot is enclosed by a masonry subdivision perimeter wall, the street side setback is five feet.
3. Interior Side and Rear Setbacks.The outside wall of the water-containing portion of any swimming pool or spa shall be located a minimum of five feet from the interior side and rear property lines.
