Vineland, NJ Swimming Pools & Spas: Pool Permits (2026)

City Code § 300-3 sets Vineland's construction permit fees for residential pools under the Uniform Construction Code. The building subcode fee is $50 for an aboveground swimming pool and $150 for an in-ground swimming pool or open structural tower, and a separate $50 fee applies to the protection fence required around the pool. Because most residential pools include a pump, filter or heater, an electrical subcode permit is also triggered: § 300-3A(3)(f) sets a flat $55 fee for electrical work on any permanently installed private swimming pool, spa, hot tub or fountain, covering bonding and associated equipment such as filter pumps, motors, disconnecting-means, switches, receptacles and heaters, but excluding panelboards and underwater lighting fixtures, which are billed separately under the general electrical fixture schedule.

Public swimming pools are instead billed on the number of electrical fixtures and device ratings involved, and carry a $75 annual electrical inspection fee under § 300-3A(3)(i). All these fees are paid to the Construction Enforcement Agency, within the Department of Licenses and Inspections, before the corresponding permit is issued, and the minimum electrical subcode fee of $55 applies if the itemized total would otherwise fall below it.
