League City, TX Trash & Recycling: Bin Placement Rules (2026)

AmeriWaste League City, Inc. is the primary trash provider for League City's 34,000 plus residential and commercial customers. To make trash pickup more efficient, the City has three trash zones. Use the map below to check your trash and recycling pickup days by address. Residents are asked to use a trash receptacle of 55 gallons or less, as per the City's agreement with AmeriWaste. Residents are provided with a 48-gallon closed-top, wheeled cart for recycling. All trash placed inside your regular trash bin must be bagged. Trash Pickup Days: Yellow Zone: Mondays & Thursdays; Green Zone: Tuesdays & Fridays; Blue Zone: Wednesdays & Saturdays. Trash Pickup Timeframe: You have a trash day, not a trash time. Trash pickup will be anywhere between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on pickup days. Customers are asked to have their trash cans placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on their designated days, but no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before. NOTE: Items placed at the curb for donation (i.e. Purple Heart, etc.) may be inadvertently picked up as trash if placed alongside trash/recycling. Holidays: If your pick-up falls on a holiday, your garbage will be picked up on the next regularly scheduled day for your neighborhood. Garbage will not be picked up on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.
