Chapter 11 of the Pinellas Park Code requires residents to place garbage and recycling containers at the curb on collection day and to remove and store them out of public view between pickups.
Under Chapter 11, residential containers must be set out at the curb on the morning of collection (or the night before) and returned to a properly screened storage area, typically behind the front building line, after pickup. Containers must have handles and tight-fitting lids and may not be placed in a way that obstructs sidewalks, drainage swales, or sight triangles at intersections. Code Enforcement actively cites containers stored in front yards or in public view between collection days. Multifamily and commercial accounts use commercial dumpsters with screening requirements set by the Land Development Code.
Leaving cans at the curb between collections, placing them in easements/sight triangles, or storing them in public view can lead to warning notices and fines.
