Sec. 82-20(f) lists the bulky refuse items the city will pick up at no special charge: appliances, stoves, refrigerators, water tanks, washing machines, dryers, furniture, mattresses, bedsprings, and air conditioners, provided they are placed curbside on the scheduled trash collection day rather than requiring a separate call. Beyond that named list, Sec. 82-20(h) makes clear that trash or other refuse not stored and placed as the chapter requires must be removed by the producer at their own expense, and it enumerates categories the city will never collect as bulky waste: building material from other than minor owner repairs, refuse an official ordered removed, vehicle tires and motor vehicle parts, trash pushed into piles by mechanical equipment, and debris from contractor work performed for economic gain.

Subsection (h)(6) sets a hard size cutoff for everything else: any other trash or refuse, apart from the named household items and appliances, weighing more than 50 pounds or exceeding 35 gallons in volume must be removed by the producer rather than left for city pickup. Residents with empty moving boxes can also request accommodation by contacting environmental services under Sec. 82-20(g).
