City Code § 41-85 tells residents and businesses exactly how to manage bulk items the regular cart cannot take. Lead-acid batteries must be recycled at private businesses where purchased or at private recycling centers, with no city collection option. Major appliances follow the same private-recycling route, but the hauler also provides a separate collection service for a fee paid by the person disposing of the appliance.
