Fruitridge Pocket, CA Trash & Recycling: Bulk Item Disposal (2026)

Sacramento County's Department of Waste Management & Recycling provides bulky waste pickup by appointment for residents in the unincorporated area. One bulky waste pickup appointment for five cubic yards of acceptable items every 12 months is included in the standard level of residential curbside collection service at no additional charge. The total amount of acceptable material is limited to five cubic yards, or a pile measuring 8 feet by 4 feet by 4 feet; residents may put out up to 15 cubic yards total by paying additional fees. Items must be placed out by 6 a.m., but no more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup, positioned one foot from the curb or edge of pavement on a flat, hard surface, in front of the property line on the same side of the street. Accepted items include furniture, mattresses, and spas/hot tubs (cut into quarters), along with pipes and lumber limited to four inches in diameter and five feet in length. Unacceptable items include concrete, dirt, rocks, bricks, tree stumps, and other heavy objects; glass panes and mirrors; treated wood waste; and anything already accepted in the regular garbage, organics, or recycling carts.
