Full Breakdown

City crews pick up bulk waste, white goods (appliances), and loose yard waste once a week at single-family homes under Sec. 22-75. Put items between the sidewalk and curb, cut tree limbs to 5 feet or less with branches trimmed, and keep everything clear of utility poles, guy wires, fire hydrants, and fences. Bundles of shrubbery clippings can't exceed 48 inches or 50 pounds. Tree-service contractors and land-clearing crews must haul their own debris: the city won't collect it curbside (Sec. 22-75(b), Sec. 22-80).

Violations & Fines

Violating the placement or collection rules is a misdemeanor under the Code's general penalty: up to $500 in fines and up to six months in jail (Sec. 1-7).
