Warrick County, IN Trash & Recycling: Collection Schedule (2026)

Warrick County Code § 136.10, adopted by BC Ord. 2015-29, defines the scope of the Warrick County Solid Waste Management District's Curbside Collection and Disposal Program, called the PROGRAM, which the District administers and may amend from time to time. The program's EFFECTIVE DATE is December 1, 2015. COVERED PARTICIPANTS initially includes, within county boundaries but exclusive of incorporated municipalities such as Boonville and Newburgh, single-family residential zoned properties, multi-family residential zoned properties able to utilize the program's containers, embedded commercial zoned properties, defined as businesses embedded within residential areas that can also use the containers, and county and municipal government properties able to use the containers.

This ties back to § 136.02(A), which requires acceptable waste, defined in § 136.01 to include garbage, rubbish, household appliances, yard waste, and demolition and construction debris, to be delivered to the District's designated facility, the transfer station at 1111 S. Pelzer Road in Boonville, unless a covered participant instead receives program-provided curbside service. Because the District, rather than the ordinance text, sets the actual pickup days and container specifications from time to time, the code establishes who must be served and how the mandatory system works rather than printing specific weekly pickup days.
