Warrick County, IN Trash & Recycling: Yard Waste Collection (2026)

Warrick County Code § 136.02(A) requires that, beginning on the program's December 1, 2015 effective date and at all times after, any person disposing of acceptable waste, defined in § 136.01 to include yard waste along with garbage, rubbish, household appliances, and demolition and construction debris, must deliver or cause delivery of that waste to the Warrick County Solid Waste Management District at its designated facility, the transfer station at 1111 S. Pelzer Road in Boonville, following the rules the Board of Commissioners or the District adopts.

Section 136.02(B) then creates the yard-waste alternative to that general delivery duty: yard waste may instead be collected commercially as provided by the District's curbside waste and recycling pickup program, so a resident enrolled in curbside service does not have to haul brush and leaves to the transfer station personally. Only the approved hauler selected by the District may lawfully perform that curbside pickup for covered participants under § 136.10's COMMERCIAL HAULERS definition; any other hauler collecting curbside waste, including yard waste, from a covered participant is operating outside the program.
