Full Breakdown

Manteca Municipal Code § 13.02.160(F) requires commercial customers to place solid waste containers, including roll-off and front-load dumpsters, in a location readily accessible to the city's collection vehicles that the public works director has approved as conforming to the code's container-facility requirements. Any business generating two or more cubic yards of recyclable material or green waste per week must also subscribe to those separate collection services under § 13.02.100. Failing to keep a container in its approved spot is grounds for the city to simply refuse to service it, per § 13.02.160(G).

Violations & Fines

Placing a dumpster where it isn't approved lets the city refuse collection under § 13.02.160(G); ongoing noncompliance with Chapter 13.02 is a code infraction, fines up to $500 per violation under the citywide general penalty.

Frequently Asked Questions
