Dunedin Solid Waste Division provides once-weekly garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection under Chapter 66, with carts at curb by 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled day.
Under Dunedin Code Chapter 66, Article IV (Section 66-102 Residential Collection), the city's Solid Waste Division collects household garbage, mixed recycling, and yard or bulk waste once per week from each residential address. All carts and items must be at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. Collection routes start at 8:00 a.m. and run until completed. Holiday schedules are published by the city, with most observances bumping pickup to the next business day. Improperly prepared items, overweight bags (over 50 pounds), and oversized brush bundles are not collected and must be self-hauled or scheduled separately.
Setting out unauthorized waste, missing the 6:00 a.m. curbside time, or repeated improperly prepared loads can lead to non-collection notices and code citations.
