Full Breakdown
The Department of Public Works won't collect from a property unless materials are properly prepared and set out at the curb or back street per its regulations. Nothing goes out before 4:00 p.m. the day before the designated collection day, and empty containers must be back on the property by 6:00 p.m. the day of collection. Anything left because it wasn't properly prepared must also be removed and stored or disposed of by 6:00 p.m. that same day. Materials must go out along the property's public frontage unless DPW agrees to an alternative spot, and carts can't sit in the front yard or ahead of the building line between collections if there's other outdoor space available. Downtown Collection Zone properties must separate recyclables from trash, and yard waste always has to be kept apart from both.

Violations of this chapter carry a fine up to the maximum allowed under RSA 47:17, with each day a violation continues counted as a separate offense.
