Full Breakdown
Town of Apex Code § 12-137 provides weekly, year-round curbside yard waste pickup, but only for residential properties inside the town's corporate limits: businesses, institutions and industrial sites get no service, and land-clearing debris like stumps and brush is never collected. Section 12-136 requires yard waste to be set out loose, not bagged, with leaves and grass separated from other materials, placed no more than 48 hours before collection and never within ten feet of a storm drain. Open burning of yard waste is banned under § 12-138, and violating these placement or service rules is a misdemeanor under G.S. 14-4.
Violations & Fines
Curbside violations, bagged yard waste, early placement, or debris left within ten feet of a storm drain, go uncollected; open burning and other breaches are misdemeanors under G.S. 14-4.
