Under Code of Ordinances § 49-25(e), tree trimmings and branches set out for bulky-item pickup must be piled together in bundles no longer than eight feet, and dead trees cannot exceed six inches in diameter; anything bigger isn't eligible. This brush pile can't be mixed with your regular yard waste or other trash, and it can't go to the curb more than three days before your scheduled bulky collection day. Haul-away is included up to four cubic yards per pickup: the Utilities Department bills an added fee for every cubic yard collected beyond that limit.
