City Code § 37-27 makes every water customer responsible for leaks and water loss downstream of their point of service delivery, including full payment for water wasted through unrepaired pipes, faucets, valves, sprinklers or plumbing fixtures. If a customer does not keep those facilities in good repair, the Water Services Department can shut off service in an emergency or after giving ten days' written notice to the service address, and won't restore service until the leak is fixed and all termination and restoration fees are paid.
Violations & Fines
