Stockton operates the Regional Wastewater Control Facility producing recycled water for permitted non-potable uses, regulated under California Title 22 and the State Water Resources Control Board.
Stockton recycled water from the Regional Wastewater Control Facility on Navy Drive is used for select industrial, irrigation, and habitat uses subject to California Title 22 water recycling criteria. Customers must execute a recycled water user agreement, install purple-pipe distribution, signage, and cross-connection controls, and pass shutdown tests. Cross-connections to potable systems are strictly prohibited and can cause regulatory action by SWRCB and County Environmental Health.
Cross-connections, missing signage, or unauthorized recycled water use can trigger fines, mandatory disconnection, and corrective action orders from SWRCB and County Environmental Health.
