Clark County Title 30 zoning sets chicken and livestock allowances by zone district. In standard residential (R-1) zones, households may keep up to 20 chickens (hens) on lots meeting minimum lot-size requirements, with coop setbacks typically 15 feet from property lines and 30 feet from dwellings on adjacent lots. Roosters are generally prohibited in R-1 because of the crowing nuisance. Rural Estates (R-E) and Residential Urban (R-U) zoning — common in unincorporated pockets like parts of Enterprise and the far southwest valley — allow larger flocks, roosters, and hoofstock such as goats, pigs, horses, and cattle based on lot size.
