A pet shop may not sell, deliver, offer for sale, barter, auction, or otherwise dispose of dogs and cats, but may offer for adoption only those dogs and cats that the pet shop owner obtained from or displays in cooperation with:(1)An animal care facility; or(2)An animal rescue organization.(b)A pet shop shall not offer for adoption a dog or cat that is younger than eight weeks old.

Fulton County Code § 34-213 bars pet shops from selling, bartering or otherwise disposing of dogs and cats for profit. Shops may offer adoption only of dogs and cats they obtained from, or display in cooperation with, a licensed animal care facility or an animal rescue organization, and cannot offer adoption of any dog or cat younger than eight weeks old. Companion section § 34-214 requires shops to keep one year of source records and post the originating shelter or rescue on each cage.
